X01
301501701Cricket-Countdown

The timeless steel-dart classic and by far the most-played mode. Every player starts with a fixed score and subtracts the points they throw. Whoever lands exactly on zero first wins the leg.

How it's played
  • 1Each player throws three darts per turn, and the total is subtracted from their score.
  • 2The standard finish is Double-Out — the last field must be a double or the Bull.
  • 3Optionally played as a set & leg mode with Double-In or Master-Out for tournaments.

K.O.Bracket

Run a full X01 knockout tournament right at the board — the system seeds the players, builds the bracket and scores every leg live.

How it's played
  • 1Players register at the board and TOPdarts draws the bracket automatically.
  • 2Each match is played as X01 legs; winners advance round by round.
  • 3The live bracket updates after every leg, all the way to the final.

StandardCut ThroatNo-Score

The tactical counterpart to X01. The goal is to hit the numbers 15 to 20 and the Bull three times each to "close" them. Once you've closed a field, you score points on it as long as your opponent still has it open.

How it's played
  • 1Three hits (Single = 1, Double = 2, Treble = 3) close a field.
  • 2Points are scored on fields you've closed that opponents still have open.
  • 3Cut Throat reverses the scoring — points go to your opponents, so less is better.

Split Score
Hit the target exactly

A nerve-wracking mode for steady hands. Each round sets a specific target. Miss it, and your current score is mercilessly halved — every turn counts.

How it's played
  • 1Each round sets a fixed target field or points range.
  • 2A hit adds the points to your score.
  • 3A complete miss halves your score so far.

Low Score
No-Score

The reverse challenge — the lowest total wins. Precision over power; every dart counts against you.

How it's played
  • 1Every dart’s value is added to your running score.
  • 2Even a stray dart can score high — aim deliberately for the low numbers.
  • 3After the set number of rounds, the lowest score wins.

High Score
High Score

Pure scoring power — the highest total after a fixed number of rounds takes it. Go big on the trebles.

How it's played
  • 1Every dart’s value is added to your running score.
  • 2Chase the treble 20 and other high segments for maximum points.
  • 3After the set number of rounds, the highest score wins.

Elimination
311511

A race from 0 to the finish — with sabotage. Every player starts at 0 and racks up points; whoever hits exactly 311 or 511 first wins. Land on an opponent's exact score and you knock them back to 0.

How it's played
  • 1Every player starts at 0 and adds up the points they throw.
  • 2The first player to hit the finish — 311 or 511 — exactly wins.
  • 3Hit an opponent's exact score and they get knocked back to 0.

3 in a row2–4 players

Strategy meets precision. On a 3×3 grid, players claim squares by hitting the assigned number four times. First with three squares in a row — horizontally, vertically or diagonally — wins.

How it's played
  • 1Each of the nine squares is assigned to a number on the board.
  • 2Hit a square's number four times to claim it for yourself.
  • 3Three in a row wins — with 3+ players, a treble reopens an already claimed square.

Around the Clock
20 → 1 → BullDouble mode

The perfect warm-up and precision game. In order, you must hit every number from 20 down to 1 and finally the Bull. An excellent way to train your spread across the entire board.

How it's played
  • 1Hit the numbers strictly in the order 20, 19, 18 … 1, Bull.
  • 2A single is enough to advance — in double mode only the double counts.
  • 3Scored by the number of darts needed or against the clock.

Bob's 27
Double drillSolo

The notorious double trainer — for the hardened only. You start with 27 points. In order, you throw at every double from D1 to D20 and the Bull. Hits earn points, but every missed double attempt costs you.

How it's played
  • 1Start at 27 points, then every double in order from D1 to Bull.
  • 2Each hit earns double the field's value in points.
  • 3Miss a double completely and those points are deducted from you.
